Elizabeth 'Liz' Georg offers legal and professional experience in business law, estate planning, real estate, and oil, gas, and civil litigation. She serves as counsel for such entities as the Garrett County Liquor Control Board and the Garrett County Board of Realtors.
Georg is actively involved in the Garrett County community and serves as a director on the following boards: The Garrett County Chamber of Commerce, The Garrett College Foundation, HART for Animals, Inc., First United Wealth Management Advisory Council, and serves as co-chair of the Garrett County Economic Development Corporation. She was appointed as a member of the Garrett County Planning Commission by the Garrett County Commissioners in 2016. She is the former treasurer of the Garrett County Bar Association.
She earned her Juris Doctorate from Vermont Law School in 2003, and her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Idaho State University in 2000, where she was the President of Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science Honor Society. She is admitted to the bars of Maryland and West Virginia. Elizabeth resides in the McHenry area with her son, Avery.
TR Janes brings over 40 years of legal and professional experience, serving primarily the Garrett County area.
Janes graduated from the University Of Maryland School Of Law in 1969, and was sworn into the Maryland Bar the same year. After practicing in Baltimore for several years, he moved to Garrett County in 1974 and established a general law practice. In 1980, he joined with local attorneys Ralph Burnett and Leonard Eiswert to form the firm Burnett, Eiswert & Janes, P.A.
His practice included a concentration in Real Estate development, conveyancing, and financing. “TR brings a wealth of experience in matters relating to real estate development in the Deep Creek Lake and Garrett County areas,” said attorney Jonathan Robeson, managing member of Deep Creek Title Group. “He is highly regarded in the local community and has developed many loyal working relationships over the years. Karen Niner has been involved in the Garrett County Real Estate marketplace for more than 39 years, and recently joined Deep Creek Title Group in 2012 as a senior transaction coordinator for the group. Deep Creek Title Group is a locally-owned title and settlement company that specializes in purchases, construction, refinance and home equity loans.
Prior to her placement with the title company, she was employed by Eiswert, Janes & Kepple, working closely with banks, Real Estate agents and attorneys, as well as buyers and sellers, to provide a positive experience for every person involved in each transaction. Karen brings a winning attitude to each settlement from start to finish. She provides great attention to detail, efficiency and outstanding professionalism. She is a great complement to the Deep Creek Title Group staff. She has developed loyal working relationships in the local community by providing quality, professional service while maintaining the highest level of accuracy, integrity and ethics.
Karen resides in the Southern Pines subdivision in Mountain Lake Park and has two grandsons.
Keri Lucas is a native to Garrett County, and resides in Oakland with her husband and two children. In 2012, Keri was given the pleasure of working for Deep Creek Title Group as a legal assistant. Her responsibilities include the post-closing of settlement files. She also serves as the primary point of contact for prospective clients of Deep Creek Title. Prior to joining Deep Creek Title, she worked for Eiswert, Janes and Kepple as an administrative assistant.
Jacey Miller is a native of Kansas and moved to Garrett County in 2008 when her family transferred with the military. Jacey began working for Deep Creek Title Group in April 2016 and has quickly become a great asset to the team. Her responsibilities include the preparation of settlement files and post-closing documents. She also serves as a point of contact for prospective clients of Deep Creek Title. Prior to joining Deep Creek Title, she worked for GCC Technologies, LLC, as a Program Analyst. Jacey has previously supported the Small Business Administration's HUBZone program and the Veteran Affair's Veteran's First Program, holding a secret security clearance.
Lindsey Crawford is a native to Garrett County and resides in Oakland with her husband. Lindsey is just starting her career at Deep Creek Title but has already become a valuable member of our team. Her responsibilities include the preparation of settlement files. Prior to joining Deep Creek Title, Lindsey worked at First United Bank & Trust as a Relationship Advisor. Lindsey graduated from Frostburg State University in May of 2018 with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting.
